I think I need to start setting goals with writing and drawing, because otherwise I'm just going to never go anywhere. I had a goal to do a thing a week awhile back and that just sort of fell on its face.
What I really want to happen is a comic based on the world that I created for the Baroque (which can be found at www.clockworklullabye.com)...I want that to happen very much, but in order to get to the point where I can do it justice, I'm going to have to learn how to draw a few things. Namely:
1. crowds
2. baroque architecture
3. sword fights
4. men that don't look girly or stupid.
These are pretty straightforward things that I probably should have taken on years ago, but basically 90% of the stuff in my gallery is comprised of women with little to no background. The only backgrounds I can draw at all are desert and seascapes, and that's not really helpful for what this world *is*...
Still, I think that if I can get a nice looking style together that this world has a lot of potential. The historical aspect of it is fun, but turning it into the slightly anachronistic, punk rock world of the Baroque has been a blast in writing. In drawing, I think it has the potential to be something great, and I don't want to see it shrivel in the hands of a lesser artist such as myself.
Only time will tell...
